The Center has partnered with NAHEC, National Association of Health Education Centers, on numerous research projects.

The Center, in partnership with the Marvin Hult Health Education Center, received funding from the Illinois Department of Public Health to allow them to improve and modernize their tobacco prevention curricula, provide the best science-based messages and serve more students.    The scientific basis for the program is:   Tobacco prevention curricula taught at each of the participating Centers meet the educational standards of the Illinois State Board of Education the criteria for school-based tobacco programs developed by the CDC and the Illinois Department of Public Health's Tobacco-Free Communities program.
